Truth About Valentine’s Day Intimacy

sex-myths2

According to a new Harris Poll, 77 percent of men and 67 percent of women say they would be open to trying new things in order to get closer to their mate, while 29 percent of women say Valentine’s Day is the one day they’d be okay with getting a little adventurous in bed. The problem though is how to ask for it. Seems 26 percent of women and 35 percent of men say they have no idea how to introduce something new to their partners.

But even though sex is an important part of Valentine’s Day, it is apparently not the thing most people are looking for. About 60 percent of people in a committed relationship say all they want for Valentine’s Day is to again have that feeling of when they first fell in love. And forget the presents, 93 percent of those in a relationship say they want an experience that can be shared by both partners, rather than getting a gift, which was preferable to seven percent of folks.

Have you ever tried talking to your partner about trying new things in the bedroom? How did it go?
Was your partner’s reaction what you hoped? Do you think you’re a little more open to new things on Valentine’s Day?

What do you want to get on Valentine’s Day? Are you looking for something more emotional than materialistic?
