Around 5:45 yesterday morning, an enormous SINKHOLE opened up in the middle of a showroom at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky . . . and swallowed EIGHT Corvettes.
The hole is about 40 feet wide and 20 to 30 feet deep. According to a spokesman, the total value of the cars is “substantial,” but he didn’t give an exact figure.
But just to give you an idea, the models ranged from 1962 to 2009. And one of the NEWER Corvettes was a ZR1 that had a base price of over $103,000 when it came out in 2009.
Obviously the entire showroom has been blocked off while they figure out what to do. But apparently they’re not worried about it happening anywhere else, because the rest of the museum is still open.
Does anyone think there’s more to this than the occasional reverse zit pop on the earth? Like, what if that was the way the world ends, where it collapses on itself? :-
Now onto the cars… do you like Corvettes? A 1957 Corvette is one of the nicest cars ever made. Do you have a classic car you like?
As far as the future, I got my eyes on this one. You’ll know whether or not I grabbed me one if it shows up in a video this year. 😉
