A new report suggests that drinking up to five cups of coffee a day, the equivalent of about 400 milligrams of caffeine, is perfectly fine for your health.
The report suggests that amount of coffee consumption won’t be bad for your health, and in some cases can actually result in some health benefits. Some of those benefits include the reduction of cardiovascular disease, and lowering the risk of developing Type-2 diabetes. And there’s some research that shows it could even protect against the development of Parkinson’s disease.
The report will be used to shape the official government dietary guidelines, which are due out later this year.
