Six Things All Interesting People Have in Common
To be more interesting, do what other interesting people do. Never be boring . . . be a good listener . . . talk about other people’s interests . . . always have at least three good stories at the ready . . . be charismatic . . . and lead an interesting life.
Apparently there are TIPS for being an interesting person. Here’s a list of six qualities all interesting people share.
1. They’re not boring. That sounds obvious, but there are ways to avoid being boring. Be brief when you talk, and stay positive. And if no one is asking you questions about what you’re saying, either shut up or change the subject.
2. They’re good listeners. Talking about yourself gives your brain the same pleasurable sensations as eating food or getting money. So if you let OTHER people do the talking, they’ll want to be around you.
3. They talk about other people’s interests. Either they know something about the subject already, in which case they bond with the other person . . . or they ask questions and try to learn more, which lets them use their great listening skills.
4. They have at least three good stories. Everyone loves to hear a good story. Have a few rehearsed ahead of time, and break them out when the conversation dies down.
5. They’re charismatic. People really tune in to gestures, body language, and tone of voice. When you communicate emotion non-verbally, it makes everything you say more interesting.
6. They lead interesting lives. Which COULD mean going to exotic places and doing exciting things. But it doesn’t have to. It can be as easy as hanging out with other interesting people, reading good books, or having cool hobbies.
We all can be interesting people. I believe it starts from within. First, you have to be happy with yourself in order for others to find you interesting. I know this may sound strange, but I’m doing a spiritual cleanse next month. It’s a way to reset your spirit so you can attract all the good things that you truly deserve. I’d love it it you all did it with me. It’s really easy. Stay tuned for details. I’ll post it soon.
